PrayerPact is built with a local-first architecture. Your prayers, journal entries, and spiritual data are stored on your device — not on our servers. We can't read your prayers, and we don't know which apps you block. Your faith journey is yours alone.
Our Approach to Privacy
Prayer is one of the most intimate things you do. We believe it deserves real protection — not just a policy, but an architecture designed so that we cannot access your personal data even if we wanted to.
PrayerPact stores your spiritual data in a local database on your device. We don't operate servers that hold your prayers, journal entries, or personal content. When you delete the app, your data is gone — we have no copy.
What Stays on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your iPhone and never sent to us:
- Your prayers, journal entries, and reflections
- Your Prayer Flame, streaks, and progress
- Quest history and blessings
- App preferences and settings
- Which apps you've chosen to block (these tokens are cryptographic and opaque — even we can't see them)
What We Do Collect
We collect a small amount of information to operate the service:
- Account information: Your email address and name when you sign up (via Apple Sign-In or email)
- Anonymized analytics: Aggregated usage data (e.g., which features are popular) — no personal or spiritual content is included
- Crash reports: Automatic crash logs to help us fix bugs — these contain no personal data
- Subscription status: Whether your subscription is active — we never see your payment details
App Blocking & Screen Time
PrayerPact uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block apps. This system is private by design at the operating system level:
- Blocked app tokens are cryptographic — we cannot determine which apps you block
- These tokens never leave your device
- This isn't a policy choice — it's enforced by Apple at the hardware and software level
AI Features (Optional)
Our Ultra tier offers intelligently personalized prayers:
- Only minimal context (like your mood or denomination) is sent — not your journal entries or personal data
- This data is not stored or used for AI training
- AI features are completely optional — PrayerPact works fully offline without them
Cloud Backup (Optional)
Ultra subscribers can enable cloud backup to transfer data to a new device:
- Your data is encrypted before it leaves your device
- Only you can access your backup through your authenticated account
- This is opt-in only — it's never enabled automatically
- You can delete your cloud backup at any time
Children's Privacy
PrayerPact is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@prayerpact.com and we will promptly delete it.
Your Data, Your Control
- Your spiritual data is already on your device — you always have access
- Delete the app to remove all local data (we have no copy)
- Delete your account to remove your login credentials and any cloud backups

Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes through the app.
